12 Best Etsy Stores for Modern Farmhouse Wall Art

Finding cool art, signs, or really anything to hang on your walls is hard. It has to go with the theme but not be overly matchy or too expensive. I’m a fan of unique pieces that actually relate to something and aren’t overly common, so I have trouble sourcing artwork that I’ll really love.

My home decor style is mostly a mix of Modern Farmhouse and Shabby Chic, meaning that I want my artwork to be homey and rustic without appearing kitchy. I also like a touch of feminine flair.

When we first moved into our new apartment, we had literally no artwork. It took me a LONG time to figure out what I liked and actually buy it, but much of it came from Etsy.

After doing a lot of research and furnishing my own home, I’ve found some really awesome Etsy stores that feature great Modern Farmhouse wall art, bordering on chic!

1. Walls of Wisdom Co.

If you’re looking for big, farmhouse-inspired signs with words or sayings, you have to check out Walls of Wisdom Co.

This shop is my absolute favorite for any featured piece in a room, and has a ton of really unique signs that are specific to you, so it’s not just your basic farmhouse sayings. They look authentically vintage, as if you picked up a piece at a Southern thrift shop.

For such large canvases, they’re pretty affordable and ship quickly! Even if you don’t end up with one of these, this store is a great place to start for modern farmhouse wall decor ideas.

2. Irena Orlov

If you’d rather have a large, statement piece of farmhouse wall art that’s wordless, Irena Orlov is the best.

I love this wolf painting, but she also has lots of different options like horses, cows, flowers, landscapes, and cool abstracts that will add a twist to any modern farmhouse room. If your style is a little more chic, she offers city-inspired landscapes in black and white as well as cool colors.

This piece really makes the room so unique, and manages to be farmhouse while adding a really modern twist and not overdoing it.

3. Cottage Lane Prints

I love printables, but a lot of times you see the same ones over and over. Cottage Lane has really unique prints that are typically $3 or less!

Some of them have sweet touches like a blue bicycle while others are more trendy, so there’s something for everyone.

4. Feather and Birch

For high quality wood cut signs, check out Feather and Birch. They have all of the traditional farmhouse sayings (including the fall and winter sayings that you’ll want to have at least one of!) but also have unique inspirational sayings about work, travel, and relaxation.

My favorites are the Disney-related sayings!

5. Spitsnogle Designs

How cute is this little guy? Even though I don’t actually live on a farm, I love cow farmhouse wall art because these guys are just too sweet. Spitsnogle Designs offers less choices but has really high-quality art usually featuring cows and horses.

Even if you’re not a farm person, everyone would think that the subjects of these paintings are adorable, plus each piece is super unique!

6. Woodstock Rustic

Woodstock Rustic has interesting wall decor that usually incorporates a wood sign with a saying in addition to some free-hanging pieces. For example, one wooden sign says “Lake Life” and comes with wooden oars to hang below it.

Each piece is really unique and can be a great addition to any blank wall or even a small area above a countertop.

7. Little Touch of Heaven

For super inexpensive laser cut prints, Little Touch of Heaven is the best Etsy store out there. Seriously – a lot of designs are under $5!

They offer a deal of the week that cuts prices way down and the shop sometimes sell unfinished signs, which means you can paint or stain it the color you want.

8. The Junq Drawer

The Junq Drawer sells smaller, handmade signs that are classy and streamlined. Typically in white or black with really nice frames, they can go almost anywhere and don’t look overdone or cluttered.

All types of different sayings are available, from typical modern farmhouse phrases to quotes from classic books and even affordable custom orders.

9. Hunt and Gather Goods

Offering items similar to the Junq Drawer, the difference is that Hunt and Gather Goods mainly sorts by the room and has pretty specific pieces that add a nice touch to any part of the house.

I especially love the “Fresh Soap” and laundry signs to add a super traditional but light farmhouse feel.

10. Picture by Picture

Picture by Picture is pretty much what it sounds like – the shop sells picture sets that go together, such as these three plant prints, alphabet prints, or baby animals for a child’s room.

They’re all smaller pieces but make a great addition to a room where the main piece is already established. I’d pair these with a larger modern farmhouse wall art canvas that includes words or a typical wood sign.

11. The Anastasia Co.

The Anastasia Co. started off only selling greeting cards, but now sell professional prints that can be shipped to you within a few days.

The designs are modern and have inspirational quotes on them such as “Never Settle,” or funny lines like “Put Your Phone Down.”

I love throwing these in a wooden frame and putting them on an empty end table. They really add a great touch! They’re also good just to get some modern farmhouse wall decor ideas.

12. Sweet Peach Digitals

For any child’s room, you can’t pass up Sweet Peach Digitals farmhouse wall art. They somehow embody modern farmhouse elements while remaining darling and sweet.

I really wish I had a reason to buy these because each set is too adorable!
