It’s no secret that pearls are having a moment in the fashion world right now. There is still a connotation of stuffiness related to pearls, but the new crop of accessories features single irregular-shaped pearls that are ultra-trendy.
Zendaya and Gigi Hadid both wore oversized pearl earrings recently, and Ashley Graham loves her pearl pendants.
But the beauty world is where pearls are really making a comeback this season—it’s impossible to scroll through Instagram without seeing something with pearls, be it a hair clip or a headband, and now we’re seeing pearl nail art.
There’s something about pearls that I just love. They’re classier and a little more unique than diamonds, but they’re super upscale without being too flashy or in your face.
So of course, I’m loving the pearl nails trend that’s huge right now! A gorgeous pearl manicure is very simple yet has that bit of extra zing that’s really appealing.
You can choose to emphasize one stone if you’re a minimalist, or you can go all out with gems encrusted on all five fingers for your pearl nails manicure. It’s easy to add a small pearl, and you don’t need to have a lot of skill with a paintbrush. You can play with color, design, or gems without overwhelming your look or your hands.
How To Do Pearl Nails:
It’s actually pretty easy to apply pearls to your nails at home. Start by painting your nails with your chosen color, then apply nail glue on your nail where you want the gem to go.
I find that tweezers are really helpful here since the work is very delicate and you need to be really careful.
Once you’ve placed the pearl, apply a thin coat of clear glue over the pearl to seal it, then apply your topcoat of paint like normal. That’s it!
Where To Get Pearls:
If you want to do your pearl nails at home, there are a few ways you can go.
Firstly, you can use pearl nail stickers and nail glue to do the whole thing yourself.
However, you can also use stick-on nails that already have pearl designs. I recommend that you check out the stick-on nails on Etsy – they’re way better than the normal drugstore varieties.

Here are some of my favorite takes on the trend. Hopefully, this will give you lots of inspo for your next pearl nails manicure!
